Does anyone else think in retrospect Hikaru was emotionally abusive?

Re-watching the series in 2020 through a different cultural lens, I have to say, Hikaru seems pretty emotionally abusive and gaslighting to everyone in his life. Obviously he has gaslit the fuck out of Akira and drove him crazy, obviously is inconsistent towards Sai was pretty cruel, his misogyny and abuse towards akari is somewhat painful to watch, and he is pretty shitty to his mom as well. Don’t get me wrong I love the show, but it definitely rings differently today when you look at his behavior.
