Rewatched the series and wish there was more.

Just finished rewatching the anime series and wish there was more. I feel like while it was a good ending, there could have been more. This was my first rewatch in maybe 10 years.
I wanted to see more of Hikaru and Akira's friendship blossom. I wanted to see him advance in the Dan ranks more. Maybe even earning a title or two. Even Hikaru telling Akira about Sai.
I feel that the mangaka maybe wanted to end the story since Sai is gone by the end of it but left out the true ending.
