Yesterday myself and my girlfriend decided to take ~2g each of some pretty potent shrooms. During the come up/peak we decided to go on a walk down the street we always walk on. On the way back, I see a buck standing in front of the house staring at us completely still. This is already unusual because I NEVER have seen a deer back there. My first thought was “Is that real?”

We keep walking past it as it’s tracking us. Looking back on it this deer had a strange aura to it that I still can’t put my finger on (could’ve just been the shrooms). I decide to walk forward to get a different view as my girlfriend stays back.

As soon as each of us lost direct sight of it behind some shrubs/bushes it disappears. no noise, no motion, nothing. I know for a fact personally that I would have seen the deer through the bush had it decided to bolt or even just walk away whether I was on shrooms or not. I also heard no movement or rummaging of the animal itself or the plants around it.

I’ve never had any kind of supernatural experience before, so my stomach dropped. My girlfriend who has had religious supernatural experiences before believes it was a spirit guide. I don’t know what it could’ve been, but I am 100% confident this deer was not “real”

Has anyone else had a similar experience with animals whether on psychedelics or sober?
