Crowd sourcing for expensive tuition on social media - tactless or good idea?

Post Body

I’m going to start an extremely rigorous, accelerated program this winter that is going to leave my escort time fairly limited to certain hours. I have to quit my civ job to participate in the program.

The program is close to 20K. While I wish I was earning that much per month as an escort, that hasn’t been my reality for months.

I cannot take out a loan (long story).

I have a decent Twitter following. I’m considering posting about this to see if there are generous benefactors in the universe willing to sponsor my journey through this program.

However, I’m worried about it looking like groveling or it being really poor taste/bad for marketing.

Am I being too self conscious? Should I just be bold and ask for what I want publicly? Or should I just be quiet and figure this out financially on my own?
