Link between erasing tweets & engagement?

Hi everyone!

Sometimes I get urges to do some cleaning on my Twitter account. I erase some tweets on my feed or responses to others’ tweets that I don’t find relevant anymore. I did it last week (around 20-30) and noticed that since then, the pictures I have posted barely had any engagement 🧐 I haven’t changed anything else.

Has anyone experienced the same? Does erasing tweets make the algorithm hate you, or is it just unrelated? I also noticed that I don’t get notifications when someone responds to my tweets, which makes me think that something is off.
