How do I market to more longer dates/FMTYs?
Post Body

Hi everyone!

I've been in the game for several years but had to take a step back the last 6 months due to some recurring burn out. I was touring a lot and the last year or so it's just not as fun as it used to be.

I've always been high end and have been trying to change my marketing up to target more longer bookings. I can't do 1 hour or 1.5 hour bookings anymore without just finding them exhausting to get through. I dont even find them worth the money anymore. I used to charge $800 USD in cities like NYC, but recently bumped it to a 1k/hour with a 1.5hr minimum and was surprised to find clients are still booking at that rate. Even some of my older clients went up to the 1000/hr without me prompting them, which was really nice to see.

I found a better balance for me is to do a handful of longer bookings a month rather than see a lot of clients. Even for 1k, I dont find 1 hour worth it and don't like the clients it attracts.

I still want to tour from time to time, but I'm hoping for more extended dates and less volume.

I know there's providers out there who almost exclusively see clients for extended dates and do a lot of FMTYs. I do overnights and dinner dates often enough, but I'd like to see more clients who book for longer and multi-day dates which I've only had a handful of and aren't very regular.

NYC is not my home city, I visit about 5 times a year, my city is more a mid-high market but it would be nice to have more affluent clients from bigger cities fly me out or come see me. I have some really well-off clients in touring cities, but they only book when I'm touring and wish they would come see me or fly me out to them!

Can someone give me some general advice on moving my business in that direction and what I can do? Do I need to tap into my existing clients and try to coax them to booking longer (if so, what's a good way?), or should I be trying to market to new guys? Please any and all help is appreciated!
