Went in for surgery today for what I hoped would be successful for removing HS around my neck. I know my surgeon did his best though so I’m not frustrated with him.
He told my mom while still pretty much drugged with anesthesia that the HS was deeper and bigger than he thought it was. Which is ok, because you can’t determine everything above the skin without getting in there.
I’m just frustrated though as I’m really hoping I won’t be stuck on humira if I have to take it. Looks like I’m going to have to go back to the drawing board and see a dermatologist again.
My PCP recommended wegovy to help with weightloss, so I plan to check in with my health insurance to see if it’s covered.
I just kinda wish I could scream my frustration out into the abyss. Gotta be a way to get rid of this around my neck.
