So I have posted here a few times, and I have extreme stage 3 HS. But today, my HS decided to take it to a new level.

I had an HS abscess rupture today, no biggie right? Except after it opened it started spraying blood. Like, 5 feet of spray. Obviously immediately put pressure on it and zipped off to the ER.

They brought in a derm and surgeon to look at it. Apparently the HS abscess has eroded away the walls of a vein. So the spray was the blood spraying out of the vein. It had stopped with pressure so they didn't rush me off to surgery, but I'm seeing a surgeon this week to talk about doing something to fix the problem.

This disease is the gift that keeps on giving.
