This is just a thought I had, so I thought I would mention it here.
A few years ago my sister had an autoimmune disease that was making her blind. It was terrible and they tried all sorts of treatments and nothing worked. Then they put her through a 2 or 3 month treatment of chemotherapy. The chemo lowered her immune system drastically. After she was done, her eyes stabilized and have been stable for years now.
So I was wondering, why can't that treatment be done to treat HS or other autoimmune diseases? My understanding is that the chemo more or less reset her immune system to stop attacking her eyes. So why can't it work for HS?
Anyway, just a thought.
