Post Body

Hi. I am 29 F and I recently went in, the doctor looked and kind of was like already made her mind up it’s not HS and she then did a swap test and on something that was a pimple not the flairs I usually get and begged to get something drained and she refused because she said it’s not going to actually drain due to how it feels. Then all day after that appointment it ended up popping. I begged her to try to swap the other and she did and that came back a bit unusual but not enough for anything definite since it wasn’t the insides.

Should I ask for a different test ? Do I get a different doctor. I felt like she made up her mind. I have done so much work to keep them from coming back as hard, like: no undergarments, more showers when there is too much moisture. I keep all my clothing semi loose and I feel them coming and make sure to use ointment or just be more careful with how my legs rub, no sex if there will be a lot of lube.

I’m frustrated that she feels I don’t have significant scarring for it to be HS. But I have had flairs since I was a teen and even had worse scarring but I’ve been working so hard to keep it at bay. But when I do get a flair it hurts so bad and it sucks to feel like I’m not sick enough for them to actually asses me properly.

Ok thanks
