Hi folks. I was recently diagnosed with HS. I have about three lesions on my vulva, one of them was biopsied, and came back as HS or folliculitis. Been battling with the condition for about 8 months now, but a month ago I finally was able to see a dermatologist and she put me on Doxy for 10 days and Benzoyl Peroxide (BPO). Started using BPO 10% about 15-20 days ago, and also added hibbiclens literally a week ago.
What I do is I shower once a day after my workout in the evening. After I have washed up my body, I then apply hibbiclens on my vulvar area (externally only of course), keep it on for 30 seconds and wash it off. Then I apply BPO 10% for 30 seconds and wash it off. I dry the area with the cold air of my hair dryer.
Been thinking to now add Sulphur and Dial Soap, both, to my routine because honestly, nothing has really helped these lesions/bumps go away completely. So I am aiming to try everything under the sun that can help.
Is there a best sequence to apply these products? Should I do them multiple time? Should I keep them on for longer than 30 seconds (as prescribed by the dermatologist) for better impact? Please share what has worked for you if you are as crazy as I am and apply ALL the products. Also open to hearing your experiences about what worked best for you and the routine, the time applied, the sequence etc.
