Update from previous post. I went to the dermatologist today with a vulvar flare and wanted to get a steroid shot. He sent me to the gynecologist at the same building who told me that I just need to to betadine soaks and then the dermatologist told me that it's okay and problem solved. Wtf? He was the one who told me I have hidradenitis and now when I told him that it's a flare he told me "How do you know it's from hidradenitis, are you a dermatologist?". I really don't understand what just happened and I feel so alone and misunderstood. I will try to find a hidradenitis specialist because I've come to the conclusion most dermatologists are incompetent. Oh and also he has never given me literally any advice on how to keep it at bay or prevent it besides laser (which I do there so he gets money for it). Sorry for the second rant I'm just speechless and also kinda sad.
