Closed lump flare- could it ever reside without bursting?
Post Body

Have a closed lump flare on my bikini line that’s been around for a few months. Tell me if I’m wrong but i dont necessarily want it to open and drain solely because the fear of infection from draining internally(pls dont judge me on this, I went septic from an illness a few years ago and it has scarred me to this day) open wound care, etc.

Some times it goes down and sometimes it’s bigger I use the typical cleansing, treatment, and supplement methods everyone in this sub generally uses, but I guess it depends on the day/ causes, etc of why it sometimes is larger over the course of these few months it’s been around.

I’ve had flares pop before, of course. But is there anyone who’s had a closed flare go away without bursting and turning to an open wound? I could be wishful thinking, I feel like in my younger years I had one down there reside on its own without bursting to an open wound but I can’t fully remember.

Anyone ever have a closed wound reside on its on? If so- how did you achieve?

Comments

yeah, i've had plenty go from "bump under the skin" to "dissolving"

I put the last part in quotes because they have come back in the same spot..

How did I achieve it? Spiro a BC prescribed by my derm, good diet, and a huge effort to reduce inflammation in my body..

I've also gotten some injected with steroids (at the Derm) and they've "deflated"
