What does remission look like?
Post Body

Hi guys.. πŸ‘‹ I was diagnosed with stage II HS and did all the usual treatment routes prior to biologics and have just had my first starter shots of humira today. I have read so many people talk about their HS going into remission. I've had 2 HS lesions for YEARS that have only had stages of being dry or wet and back and forth. Never any healing. In past 4 months I got an additional 2 one on each butt cheek that rub together and weep every day. When people talk about remission what do you mean? Do you no longer weep from your HS? Does the skin heal at all? I want to know explicitly what it means to people who have gone into remission because I just don't know what reasonable expectations or hopes I should have. I'm aware everyone is different and I appreciate any responses in advance ☺️

Comments

no open wounds, no balls of abscesses sitting under the skin... just.. nothing.

I certainly thought it was until I got treatment.. I have a post about what all I do if you want to go check on my profile. It took me ages to get there but I've tried a handful of things for sure.
