Hiatal hernia dizziness when eating?
Post Body

So I’ve had a hiatus hernia for 15 or so years. Spent 14 years on PPI’s. Recently stopped the PPI’s to do a stool test for h pylori (negative - think probiotics may have messed with the test result). Last year had a random day after eating pizza felt like I had flu then I got burning stomach, reflux, fatigue, dizzy spells (feels like I’m sitting on a boat in a river not moving - more of a swaying) worse when eating and relieved slightly by standing to eat (not ideal when out socially), anxiety/panic attacks. All that went away after winter (I’m in the uk) and all returned again this winter, but this time started off with chest pressure then the burning of the stomach and the other symptoms.

I told my dr this and said I think i might have SIBO due to long term PPI use he said no it’s IBS without even sending me for breath test!! I feel a lot better now I’m off PPI’s and feel worse on them. Cut out coffee including decaf and any other hot drinks 😩😭 but this random dizziness is something I can’t get rid of or work out why it happens and never heard of anyone else having it especially when eating. Its like half way through a meal it will happen, so is there anyone else out there that relates to this and found out why and fixed it?

Cheers
