What if they made a sequel to Absolution with the leaked model that was supposed to be used for said game that never came to light.
The game could exist in it’s own continuity, being that the World of Assassination Trilogy is more or less it’s own timeline.
Back when Absolution launched, I (along with many others) were Hitman starved and I was just happy we had a new title to play. With that being said, I don’t hate the game at all. It’s definitely different, but many established series change the way they play - for better or worse. Though, that’s a debate for another time. All in all, I really enjoyed the vibe of Absolution. The only other game in the series that attempts the gritty, grimy and seedy tone to Agent 47. He’s ruthless as his occupation requires him to be; opposed to feeling like a spy in the WOA series.
If an Absolution 2 were to exist, I think it should of course continue the established story, even if Victoria (huge assumption here) was supposed to be the new lead? It should also utilize more opened up levels, not WOA size, but sandbox-y enough for exploration and multiple ways to eliminate said targets; whilst also being linear. So, semi-linear.
Idk where I’m going with this, just thunk it up whilst playing through Absolution for the millionth time. (Thanks to the Hitman Blood Money Absolution HD sale!)
