Freelancer: Missing Purchased Sniper that I didn’t take on a mission. Anyone else?

I purchased an epic Sniper a few missions back, haven’t used it. I do a mission in Colorado with my shotgun and AR only….. get whacked.
To my surprise when I came back, all my tools disappeared, which I found out is part of gameplay so it’s working as expected. However, I checked my weapon wall and it’s missing the epic sniper I purchased.
Is that normal or has anyone else experienced that bug?
