Your status after using a sniper is too vague

I ended up sniping my final showdown target and it seemed like i was in the clear, didnt say i was hunted or compromised
I made my way to the exit, but since the other targets were getting evacuated one of the assassins ran with them, and before i could even blink he gunned me down from across the map
There was no reasonable explanation as to why he'd notice me
I get not wanting snipers to be overpowered but the behaviour npcs exhibit after killing someone with it is too unpredictable imo
