Guys…be so careful on the kits that include topiramate! I was taking topiramate as directed for only a week and woke up one day not being able to see- everything was blurry. I had no other warning signs. I had to see a normal eye doctor and a glaucoma specialist- the “rare” side effect of fluid and pressure build up in your eyes is not as rare as a quick Google search or other doctors may make it seem- the glaucoma specialist has seen in an uptick in cases lately where patients were not fully made aware of how dangerous this drug can be.
I’m on eye drops and hoping my vision goes back to normal, but I just wanted to tell everyone to watch out and take vision changes very seriously if you’re taking any of the topiramate kits. The normal amount of pressure in your eye should be between 10-21 mmHg, mine was at 45 which can permanently damage vision if not treated ASAP. Very scary experience 😭 and now I have some expensive medical bills to top it off from this ordeal
No, I had no other symptoms at all. Mine started only a week after taking half a tablet every other day. My ophthalmologist told me that getting the pressure relieved in your eyes that it builds is extremely important though. I’m taking eyedrops for it. But without treatment, the pressure may not have a way to be relieved and that pressure causes nerve damage. It’s a lot more serious than Hers makes it seem honestly.
If you’re experiencing vision issues please go to the ophthalmologist ASAP. The pressure caused by this medication can cause permanent nerve damage and vision loss if not treated. Hope things gets better for you!
I did and all they did was cancel my subscription. I think I might try and pursue a refund because my medical bills from this are expensive and I really don’t feel that they have enough warnings of how serious the side effects can be of this specific med. :/ I did file a report with the FDA as well.
I just want to say, my vision came back about 5 days after I made this post. It was a scary experience, but I got help right away and ended up being fine. But I understand your hesitation- I’d probably try and get a kit that doesn’t have topiramate. I’d be less scared of metformin.

How long did it take for your vision to return to normal?
