Hey all,

Just had my first outbreak of genital HSV2. It was awfully shocking and I was very sick with my first outbreak. I'm finally finished with my course of antivirals and the ulcers have healed up (though I keep feeling very aware of bottom area (like tingling and itching without the ulcers) so it might not truly have settled yet.

What are people's experiences with genital hair removal once you know you've herpes? I used to get brazilian waxes. Now I'm very paranoid that the irritation and stress on the skin from waxing would trigger an outbreak. Apparently having herpes is also a contraindication to getting laser treatment (thought I could just get the hair lasered off for good). I'm not a fan of shaving.

Any recommendations or advice?
