After two years of my first outbreak (or what appeared to be a herpes outbreak) as well as 3 negative IgG tests and two swab tests I still don’t know if I have herpes or not
Post Body

Long story short back in March 2020 I had a outbreak of blisters on my shaft. They were not painful and I found out when I felt them after a hanky session. They lasted for a few weeks (the whole blister, ulcer, crust over) and I was somewhat concerned but also more concerned with the pandemic that started.

I went to an urgent care and did a full panel and everything came back negative. The doctor who I showed the pictures to (since the sores went away) told me “it could be anything”.

After this I felt relieved. That was until it came back again in April the same exact way.

I read up about herpes testing and realized I needed to wait until 3-4 months for antibodies to show on IgG (which was why I probably tested negative back in March) so I went to STD Check and did another full panel test and everything still came back negative.

I sometimes have tingles down there as well as a very small pimple pop down there.

Last year around this time I explained this to the doctor and he did the whole “oh yeah this is common and your picture looks like that so just take Valtrex”. He was a dismissive doctor and told me I was freaking out so I had another full panel as well as a swab test done (the small pimple like thing) and it all came back negative.

I had another swab test in January this year to make myself feel better.

I still don’t and still don’t know what I’m doing. Am I paranoid ?
