The Instacare did a viral culture and then told me treatment is the same either way so type is not important. They only prescribed 10 days of antivirals and said they should only be taken when an outbreak begins. I know better now and feel like they failed and lied to me. Now I have to wait to get the IgG test to find out which type I have. I also need a new primary care physician because my old one retired. First availability is not until may for my new one.
I am married and in an open marriage. I do not want to spread it to my wife. I also have a FWB that is ok as long as I am taking every precaution including daily antivirals.
I have access to an online doctor through my insurance. Should I go on daily antiviral before I know which type I have or is that a bad idea?
