What does a herpes scab look like?

Just asking because what I suspected to be herpes is scabbing more like syphilis. It’s brown and dark with dry skin. No redness on the outer layer.

My sore started as a big red lump like a mosquito bite, then the next day grew a white head. After 1-2 days got slightly bigger and oozing oil on the same day then popped blood. Then ulcerated before forming a scab. Just one scab.

When I search online, the herpes scabs are usually for extreme cases so I wanted to know the opinion from this group. Thanks in advance.
