Getting tested for a second time because I think I had a false negative at first
Post Body

So back in March around the time the pandemic started I noticed I had bumps (we will call them what looked like herpes lesions) on my penis. I wasn’t in any pain but it was about 10 or so and it was unsettling. I went to urgent care and got looked at and tested. The results came back negative.

After about a month or so I had an extremely mild episode (one small bump) like this but brushed it off because I tested negative and it could have been due to sweating.

This Saturday I went on a boat and was in the sun all day. When I woke up and took a shower I noticed I had the same thing back in April or so. At the moment I feel a mild tingly feeling down there.

For the past day I have been so upset because I thought I was fine but I feel foolish almost for not looking more into this.

I have has dozens of sexual partners but I always have used protection. I understand herpes is very common and easy to get. I am upset and if I have it I will be upset for a while which is normal but I’m sure I’ll get over it at some point.

I was always worried about HIV as a gay guy (21M here) but never considered the other H as I call it.
