Hello! First if I just found this subreddit and just by reading some of the positive post it puts me at ease and calms me down about what I may have contacted. In the past days I have educated myself about Herpes and can say it doesn’t really scare me. I learned you can live with it and have a regular life. But before this all started I had a hiv scare and was( and kinda still) stress about it so here goes..

It’s started around last Friday when I noticed an area my pubic hair area where it felt like there where pimples or in grown hair. I would squeeze it and clear liquid would come out. I shaved the area to get a better look and it looked like a full in grown hair trying to get out and I figured it was that so the next day I used my usual acne body wash to see what would happened and it popped open. I figured it would heal up on its own so I didn’t do nothing to it after I left the shower. I was normal until night came when I started to feel like I was catching cold and later on when I got off the couch to use the bathroom I felt the left side of the lymph nodes near my growing start to hurt. So of course I was worried. Before I popped them they hurt a little bit to the touch and would hurt more if I touched to much. After I popped them I could feel it hurt or if I touch it would hurt along with my lymph nodes too.

So the next few days I would check on them to see if they would heal and it started to slowly. I put rubbing alcohol on them to see if they would heal faster and actually improved a little bit. I feel that I have Herpes and this my first breakout. I am getting a test done this week to see if I’m correct. But just want to put nerves to rest and see what advice can you give me about my situation and more.
