Stopping Valtrex after delivery ?

Hey there. Currently in the last few weeks of my pregnancy. In the beginning at my first prenatal appointment, they gave me a blood test and it came up positive for hsv2. Booooo.

(Didnt ask for this testing nor did they make it aware to me that they were testing for such. I thought I was gonna get my hcg levels tested.)

I am also a carrier for hsv1. But no outbreaks. Was advised to take valtrex at 36 weeks. Now my question is, for someone that hasn't taken meds since the diagnosis or experienced an outbreak, if i take the meds for preventative measures then stop after delivery, will I experience an outbreak..?
