So I’ve been thinking long and hard about this, I won’t be having a disclosure talk because I’m not going to seek a partner that is HSV negative. I will look for a partner that already has it and then it will become a non issue, you can have a perfectly normal relationship just don’t have sex when either of you have an outbreak.

Two main reasons why I will not have a negative partner.

1. Even with antivirals taken daily and using condoms there’s a 30% change of passing it on over time. It’s near impossible not to pass it on.

2. I don’t want to take antivirals every day for the rest of my life. They are hard on the kidneys you won’t have much of them left in the long term.
