I had an idea for mind points. See what y'all think. What if, on a player's or monster's turn, they could attack by rolling a number of combat dice equal to their mind points while their target defends by rolling combat dice equal to their mind points. Then, if the attacker successfully hits, they can move the defender anywhere they like up to their total movement (if you still play roll and move, roll to determine their movement).
Thematically, what is happening is the attacker is using their tactical mental prowess to goad, trick, dupe, entice, or lure the target to where they want them (like how boxers can use faints to trick their opponents into reacting). Imagine a crafty goblin taunting the Barbarian, and the Barbarian, with his bloodlust, charging straight into an ambush just like the goblin wanted him to.
Mechanically, it not only makes mind points more important, but also makes combat more strategic, and allows Zargon/Morcar opportunities to dislodge hero formations that are proving too effective and breaking the game/making the game too boring/easy.
