Been a while between his Hermitcraft episodes.
I suspect he is winding down before Season 6 drops, which will probably be in line with the release of 1.13 in the next couple of months, they'd be crazy not to use that as the big kickoff for a new season.
The hermits that are still playing regularly (at least the ones I watch) seem to be rapidly working towards completing their bases: False is working on the inner circle area, the last big uncompleted part of her island; Wels is doing a ton of work on his castle; Tango's nether-y base is almost done etc.
Even the Moba Lisa is dangerously close to actually being playable :)
