Been posting left and right, but I think I got it now. So, here's what we know about the twist for season 5.
Not everything will be revealed right away. (https://youtu.be/RkCw5CvZd4E?t=5m24s)
The twist will involve bases and community areas. (https://youtu.be/OiyNJWdNbf4?t=56s)
Potentially something about a mushroom island? Maybe relating to Joe Hills? (https://www.reddit.com/r/HermitCraft/comments/64dxg2/mushroom_biome_for_season_5/)
ZombieCleo mentioned she wanted to set up in a desert biome. (https://twitter.com/ZombieCleo/status/851009762980450304)
Also, Wels posted a video of himself vanishing into a TARDIS and a new world with a roofed forest and plains. Now, if this was the start of season 5, there's one key difference: There are no hermits around. Wels even shows this by calling for the Hermits and nobody was there. This is big. Other seasons start with a group meeting, and stuff like this doesn't happen.
So the theory? All the Hermits will start in completely different places and slowly advance to a central civilization. Kinda like a reverse season 4. This would make sense with everything Wels talked about. Joe would get a mushroom biome and Cleo would get a desert. And in Zedaph's recent video, which has a comment that basically confirms he's a new Hermit, there's a similar scene to the TARDIS in Wels' video, where he vanishes into a portal.
What do you think?
Small Biomes is my guess.
Tango picked the seed, and pretty much gave away in a stream that he used a program to go through hundreds of seeds overnight looking for ones with specific biomes within an X block radius of spawn.

Tango said in a livestream that they did talk about Biome Bundle etc. but decided against it, as it strays too far from vanilla.
