I really don't want to switch to a backpack. I have a Lo & Sons Catalina Deluxe Tote in canvas that people here recommended, I love it, but maybe because of my autoimmune/joint condition it's still too heavy for my shoulders even when almost empty and was leaving a dent. I figure distributing the weight over both shoulders would help.
Can you guys spam me with your backpack recommendations? Here are some details:
- I don't need to carry a laptop necessarily
- would be carrying a mirrorless (smallish) camera sometimes
- should really carry a bit of water! But it will be the tiniest container I can find since I don't need much and water is heavy -- That raises another question actually, any recommendations/thoughts on very small light water containers that are sufficiently easy to clean?
- carries the occasional shopping results, sweaters
- I live in the PNW so rain-resistance is a plus
- I like extra compartments but can live without
- I want to look reasonably grownup but don't need to look professional
- aesthetics are super important, of course ;)
- if it's got... what is it called, a trolley flap so I can slide it over a suitcase handle, that's a HUGE plus.
