Information on a very old ointment

Post Body
My great grandfather was a doctor in rural NY. Growing up we had a jar of ointment from him that could clean up, cure, and heal darn near anything. If someone were to tell me it cured death, I wouldn't have a second of surprise. 40 years later I have about an ounce left and am desperate to either find more, or perhaps find an old jar or advertisement or patent that has an ingredient list. To add in an extra level of difficulty, we aren't sure exactly how to spell it. It is a translucent orangey ointment with a distinctive, pungent smell. It was called MORUGAMOT OINTMENT (spelling could very possibly be incorrect). It was pronounced more-oooo-gah-maht (or maybe ended in -mont her than -mot)
