Hello. Apologies if this is not appropriate for here. And my immense gratitude for anyone who attempts to help me.
Context:
I run an NFL "Pickems" league. Every week we pick the teams we think are going to win. In previous years the way we have done this is just by texting our picks in a group chat up until kickoff of each game. The rules are that you can update your pick, simply by texting the opposite team, as many times as you want until kickoff.
The Issue:
We are expanding this league by double, and I'd like to make things a little cleaner than clogging up a group chat. Additionally, I would love to get away from all of us being able to see each other's picks until the game has kicked off, because it leads to a lot of "gaming" and changing our picks based on another's answers.
The Want:
I want to use Google Forms or Smartsheet, something along those lines. The problem with both of those is, I don't think there's a way to
a) prevent people from changing their picks past the deadline
b) make it fair for everyone. If I am creating a form every week, then I can see everyone's picks and they can't. This gives me an unfair advantage.
TLDR;
I need some kind of "google forms" esque website, for an NFL pickets league I run, that does the following:
- allows you to select which teams you think will win.
- allows you to change those picks up until a specific deadline (this can be compromised on though if there is just timestamps with changes by everyone)
- most importantly, hides your answers to everyone, including the creator of the form, until a specified time.
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to help. I really appreciate it.
