I'm playing on NG . I finished the game over a year ago (gog freebie) after getting the "true ending." The other day I started again after getting the DLC (not gonna complain about it, as my idea was to do the NG run with the new content, so yay) and got to the architect questline.

He tragically died on the escort mission against that huge enemy with glowing blue tentacles or whatever, and I wasn't able to get neither his dropped equipment (I fell right after him) nor get to his "workshop."

I am boned regarding these items, right? I don't really care about completing (again) his questline because, well, I have already completed it, but I kind of wanted his items. There's no other way to get them?
