So.. I've been playing on and off since GoG gave this game away, and a few months ago I managed to get to the "real" ending and, after having close to no problems once I "got" the game, I got my ass severely handed to me.

My original strategy was using the Marine Rifle (Best ranged weapon I had) to kill the floaty thingies (although I got energy for exactly two shots per thingy, so..) then proceed with Sentient and get lucky. 'nuff said, I didn't got lucky enough,.

Pad broke down (not out of frustration, but out of age) and time went on. The pad lived again because random neutrino or something like that and I got some time to get back, so I decided to go to some places I had written down to "revisit" (closed doors and such). And I found the Prodigal Spawn, and, without knowing, completed his quest.

So I went back to Sentient and found myself facing the Prodigal Spawn, and now I'm getting my ass kicked twofold, as I can't see the fucker in the dark of the nowhere space (not with the flashlight) while the Sentient is just spamming his attacks.

So, well, any pointers on how to beat these fuckers? Thanks!
