Khairete!

I am Lyra, a student researcher at Georgia State University. I am interested in doing a project for a research conference based on queer people's experiences with paganism, and I'm specifically looking at the Hellenistic context. As such (and due to it being anthropological research), I need other queer Pagans to interview and have discussions with. The criteria for selection for the project are as follows:

  • Self-identify as both Queer (LGBTQ or otherwise queer) and a regular practicer of Hellenism (Hellenismos, Greek Paganism, Hellenic Polytheism, the term doesn't matter so much as the fact that you do active and regular worship with the Gods).

-Be over the age of majority in your municipality (18 for most people).

-Be from the United States or Canada

-Be able to attend a 1 to 2 hour interview over Discord, Zoom, Skype, or other means. Camera is not needed, this can be audio only if you desire. This interview would be some time within the next few weeks.

-Be willing to attend a possible 2nd interview at a later date, possibly in the June to August area.

-Be willing to have quotes and paraphrased remarks put into a presentation and print format. All identifying features past those absolutely needed for the research will be anonymized.

If anyone is interested, please DM me on Reddit, or put a comment here so I can reach out. I look forward to working with you!

Cheers, Lyra
