That was my thought too, plus just another spot to break/jam which is the value revolvers having of a semi-auto.
They should have you fumble and drop the shells if you get ragdolled for full realism. I can't imagine the whines, but it would be hilarious having to pick up the ammo one at a time with the E key.
I never got that much into revolvers and I'm too lazy to google to remember right but if I recall you can basically dump all the brass on the floor with a pin pull at least on my revolver (again its been like 5 years since I used it and I only used it a few times), the slow load isn't getting the brass out but the one at a time getting the brass in. Really the reload speed in the game isn't unrealistic, its probably faster than most people could, but its just inferior to the other options. Which is a shame because I enjoy the revolver in game. Its fun to take it and a balistic shield and play "I'm the heavy devastator now"
I am not a shotgun guy, I have one but its a pump action. You could finagle one that did that but the biggest bonus of revolvers is their reliability, something that the more complex ejection system would probably lower, and in that case use a semi-auto.
All the reliably issues of a semi-auto, the weight, reload difficulties, and capacity limitations of a revolver rolled into one?
Its not a revolver, at least in my opinion. Its a semi-auto with a really bad mag system. Its the kind of pistol you buy to show your friends you have this weird gun, but you don't want it to be your real sidearm if you are going into a fight. Hell I have a really nice .357 revolver, but if the shit hits the fan, I'm taking my Sig p320.

That's been worked out, its called a semi-auto, can't see how the physics of a revolver would allow for that and still be a revolver.
