I’m not here to argue whether the balancing team is doing a good job or not. But this philosophy of never nerf and only buff doesn’t work for helldivers.
Yes, this philosophy may be correct for games like destiny or other looter shooters because your enemies constantly scales with you as you level up.
However, in Helldivers, helldive difficulty is the same regardless if you’re level 1 or level 50. Enemies take the same amount of shot from the same weapon regardless of your level. If you only buff weapons eventually you will make the game too easy.
Often times, weapons that the community deem to be fun are also weapons that are doing more things than intended.
The more important question we should be asking is, what is the weapon that the devs are balance other weapons around? (More specifically primaries)

Exactly, I'd rather they nerf weapons that are "over performing" than buff the enemies to fit those weapons and then need to buff the other weapons.
I think there are just too many people not getting the "game" side of it, and treating this like an MMO mentality. I didn't grind 3 months for the railgun and then have it get nerfed to useless ala MMO play. You'll get everything unlocked pretty quickly in this game.
