Are People Still having Connection Issues When Playing with Friends after Update?

Even after the update I still find that I am often getting dropped from games with friends or I am getting timed out when trying to connect to a friend. The issue seems intermittent as every once in awhile I am able to connect but most of the time I cannot.
Are others still experiencing this and are there any troubleshooting steps to be taken?
For context, I am on PC along with my buddies.
