Arrowhead Nerfed Your Favorite Loadout To Make Money. Explanation Inside.

Post Body

Its pretty simple. We all know mech suits and other vehicles with new weapons are coming into the game around March 14th. This balance patch that just came out prior to them fixing stability issues makes it clear that Arrowhead want you to feel uncomfortable when playing and therefore you need to get access to the mech suit and the other "goodies" that might replace your beloved breaker.

SPOILER: It Wont.

What people are forgetting is that the Mech Suit OR new weapons will be in the new "battlepass" that nobody will have prepaid for yet and therefore; you will need to PURCHASE this new battlepass in order to even attempt to try to use the mechs or find a new "breaker" replacement.

Helldivers 2 "Roadmap":

- Nerf Game

- Release Pay 2 Win Battlepass

- Players buy battlepass because their favorites have been nerfed to the ground, so they run to purchase battlepass to try to hopefully get access to something worthwhile

- Arrowhead profits while their CEO makes fun tweets, their discord mods make trendy jokes and their devs continue to call the current playerbase style as "brainless."

" AHGS_Fredrik_E Arrowhead Developer

I'm feeding the rage a little for my own entertainment here, just so you know.

We haven't nerfed anything into the ground, I just think it's a little too early to pretend like the game is figured out. We made two of the most brainless playstyles less viable, and brought the guns that are under/overperforming more into line with the rest. The game is only a couple of weeks old, so before we start making sweeping changes we want everything roughly where we intended from the start. That doesn't mean we won't bring things up when we know more about how people play the game."

I wonder how many times they can pull this off; perhaps every month a new "balance patch" comes up nerfing the most popular loadouts in order to sell more battlepasses? Stop and THINK for a second; what other monetization strategies do they really have AFTER you purchased the game? Exactly.
