is it worth coming back to this game?

I haven't played much since the initial release due to the issues that it was released with. I'm just wondering if anyone recommends getting back into it? The bugs and the lack of communication was very frustrating in the early days on console and I'd just like to know what people think of the game who have maintained a regular interaction with it?
