It gives me the impression that each philosophy has a value: Utilitarianism values endgame, Stoicism values self-modulation, etc. What makes the value of pleasure something that ‘scares’ people because of self-destruction. Why is it seen a virtue to be a workaholic but unwise to be a hedonist?
