hi hedgie friends💌 i’m looking for some socialization advice on my lil girl, daphne🦔 who’s seemed more anxious lately ➡️ she’s been huffing, balling and spiking up, and generally Unrelaxed and unwilling to leave her cage

• extremely anxious around strangers. i used to have more friends over for “play dates” with her but she didn’t seem to love those either, although maybe with more perseverance they’d help socialize her?

• i recently built her a wooden house she never seems to want to leave, she’s always curled up there unless to eat or run late at night on her wheel

• my roommate doesn’t want her running around our apartment unless in a ball, as she tends to get stuck in places in this new apt - could this (ball vs free range exploring) be contributing to her grumpiness? maybe i get one of those fences that build playpens?

• ^ re: this, she got stuck behind our oven once (unharmed) and was even grumpier when i took her out from her little nook, was this upsetting to her?

• i also adopted her with my ex boyfriend who she spent 3 months with before i broke up w him and we stopped living together, could this have impacted her social/emotional bonding? could she have bonded to him vs. me?

• i’m a pretty busy person, am i not taking her out of her cage enough? should it really be every day? are nights spent at my current boyfriends a problem for her?

any and all advice MUCH appreciated!! i want her to be happier :-)
