Have you ever lost a hedgie, and later gotten a new one?

I’m having such a hard time fathoming ever getting a new hedgehog since I had to put my baby down in February, but at the same time I absolutely love hedgies and can’t imagine a life without ever having one again. Would love to hear people’s experiences about moving forward after loss/getting a new pet. How did you know it was the right time for you?
