New to heart failure
Post Body

Hi all. 33m, recently had a bout of pneumonia and septic shock that landed me in the ICU for three nights. It is fully resolved and Iโ€™m back to normal, except now I have a reduced ejection fraction of 40-45%. My cardiologist started me on new meds.

Pretty sure my heart failure is from years and years of uncontrolled high blood pressure and possibly from rhinovirus. She thinks it might be reversible and could go off meds in a year, but literature from Reddit says otherwise.

1) Entresto 24/26 morning and night 2) Carvdeilol 3.25mg twice a day 3) Rosuvastatin- 20mg once a day 4) Eplerenone - 11mg once a day 5) Farxiga - not sure of dosage lol

Anyway, I started these meds today and Iโ€™m feeling VERY hot, sweaty, and flushed. Is this normal? It feels like I am overheating and my pulse has gone quite high. I canโ€™t get a hold of my pharmacist or cardiologist, but will keep trying.
