was tested by an ENT this week. He has moderate high and mild low tone hearing loss. He will be retested on Monday but we're not surprised by these results and along with his ENT are setting up more tests to determine the cause.
I was not aware of how many things can cause hearing loss. We'll look for the most common solution and go from there...he had issues with fluid as a toddler and had tubes on two separate occasions. Unfortunately infections came with the territory. Right now I'm beating myself up wondering if we could have done anything to prevent this.
He's going to be fine, that much I know. He makes friends easily, he's excelling in school and he's trying to earn a karate brown belt by the end of the year.
I don't know what I'm hoping for in this community besides advice and inspiration. Thank you all.
