Hi everyone. So this post is inspired by one I saw earlier this week about someone who was struggling with getting wet the way they used to after using and getting off of birth control. Aside from going to a gynecologist, which I have yet to do, I (F23) wanted to ask for help and recommendations for things that have helped other women struggling with this issue on this sub. I first started birth control, the pill specifically, in 2018 and kept taking it for like a year and a half until I decided to switch pills because that one was drying me out really bad.
The one I switched to didn’t make me as dry but I realized even while on it I didn’t get as wet as before. I finally got off the pill completely in 2020 and my wetness still hasn’t returned to the way it was before. Like the difference is insane, before I could get extremely wet off of my thoughts/fantasies alone and now even when I’m aroused it’s barely damp down there. The only time I notice any noticeable wetness is after I orgasm when I use my vibrator. It’s honestly a really embarrassing problem for me to have especially at my age and I just don’t know what to do.
This isn’t exactly an issue I want to discuss with any girl friends at all. So I just wanted to ask whoever comes across this post and has had problems with this as well to please leave any recommendations or anything that’s helped you in the comments please. It’s affecting my sex life in the sense that I don’t want to have sex with new partners because I’m worried it won’t feel good for them, which is important to me. I know lube is an option but I don’t want to struggle with this anymore and want my body to go back to its natural equilibrium, or as close as possible to it as it can since I know BC changes things. If I knew this was gonna happen I never would’ve taken it in the first place and I’ve just been really down about it.
