Hi there, I am just starting to realize the pain I experience during sex may not be normal. I was wondering if any of you have dealt with something similar or if you have any idea what it could be. I have a referral for an OBGYN appointment to talk to a doctor soon, but I still wanted to check in with this community.

This is what I’m experiencing: pain at the opening of my vagina but only on the back/bottom of the opening. So any angles which put pressure there really hurt. But these are the angles that work for my boyfriend. So we are really struggling trying to have sex without hurting me. With my past partners I just put up with it, this is the first guy who cares about my experience. Granted it is just so difficult for him at this point that I think he is going to break up with me.

I know I have mild Vaginismus as well, but I have a pretty good handle on that part. I think this is something else.
