hi all!

over the weekend, i developed some pretty typical symptoms of a yeast infection. i’ve only had one before due to taking some antibiotics, but it quickly went away after taking monistat 1. the symptoms i had then are the same now—itchiness, swelling, clumpy discharge. so, i took a monistat 1 on sunday night. my symptoms got exponentially worse on monday (i literally could not sit down without being in pain from the swelling/itchy), but have since calmed down. i’m still mildly itchy, but all other symptoms are gone.

i was wondering what other people’s experience with monistat 1 are, and how long it took for symptoms to completely go away? i’m really really hoping this isn’t something worse.

for reference, i am 21f and i have had two recent sexual partners (i am in an open relationship—i do not use protection with my boyfriend but we both use protection with outside partners)
