is it normal for antibiotics to cause yeast infections?
Post Body

hi everyone! F18 here and i’m on antibiotics right now, specifically amoxicillin, and i realized i’ve been having a bunch of white discharge and a bit of burning when i pee but no itching or any other symptoms. it’s also not my first time getting yeast, i would get it as a kid but would never properly treat it because i was scared to talk about it and just wait till it goes away.

i have 3-4 more days of antibiotics to take and i was just wondering if it’s normal for these medications to cause yeast infections? has anyone gotten them while on these meds? also, what can i do to make it go away, should i wait until after i’m done with my meds to start treating it?

my mom told me to just eat yogurt but i absolutely cannot handle yogurt lol! i like them but i gag so much for some reason and it gives me a migraine afterwards but is monistat a good way to treat it?
